Provision of a service to Organizations, Municipalities, Communities, etc

According to Interministerial Decision 68679a/B1 of the Ministers of Economy and Finance and of National Education and Religious Affairs, published in the Government Gazette 1625/t.B’/2.11.2004, the Institute of Structural Analysis and Dynamics of Structures (ISADC) has the general mission of promoting Science and Technology in matters falling within its cognitive area. Specifically, according to Article 2 of the aforementioned interministerial Decision (paragraph VI), the ISADC is authorized to provide Services to private individuals, whether they are natural persons or companies.

According to paragraph VII of the same interministerial Decision, the ISADC may collaborate with relevant scientific and social entities, with the aim of making the Institute’s contribution to the investigation and study of development issues of the country in matters related to the scientific and research field the Institute of Structural Analysis and Dynamics of Structures as great and effective as possible. It should be noted that in each case, the management of the various Research Programs undertaken by the ISADC is carried out by the Special Research Fund (ELKE) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in collaboration with the Scientific Responsible (who will be a Member of the Teaching and Research Staff of the ISADC) of the Research Program.

Taking all the above into account, and considering the long-standing scientific and research activity of the Institute of Structural Analysis and Dynamics of Structures (ISADC) of the Department of Civil Engineering of the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, it provides SERVICES to private individuals in the following areas (and at an advanced level of study with a strong research dimension formulated within them):

  • In the interpretation of damages occurring in any type of construction for any reason.
  • In the assessment of the seismic capacity of existing reinforced concrete or other material structures using advanced nonlinear analysis methods.
  • In the identification of the dynamic characteristics of constructions and the general monitoring of their structural health from the processing of instrumental accelerometer or velocimeter measurements (in case of artificial explosions within the ground).
  • In the creation of special seismic systems in constructions at the design level.
  • In the development of special structural systems for tall buildings for strong wind loads or seismic excitations. In the conduct of distance Learning Scientific Lectures under the Lifelong Learning program.
